Developed by Arete Collective, Loraloma will initially feature 160 luxury residences anchored by an 18-hole championship golf course laid out along the water's edge - now complete and open for play - along with a boutique wellness spa, retail and dining, and equestrian facilities. Completion is expected by March 2027.

Why we invested

HC2 provided a $24.8 million first-lien senior loan at 65% loan-to-cost, secured by all 17 cottage sites and backed by budget and completion guarantees from the sponsor. Located in Burnet County, a designated rural Targeted Employment Area, the project offers EB-5 investors reserved rural visas and priority processing, with a projected 1,186 direct and indirect jobs against the 300 required - a 295% job cushion.
